Being the social networking junkie that I am, I'm always coming across small businesses that are typically in the realm of fashion. Mostly it's all about tee-shirts and maybe jewelry but this one really threw me for a loop. Despite their name being a quite humorous spin off of a clothing line's name, Pintrill is very unique. At least to my knowledge, they are one of the first up-and-companies that are creating pins. They aren't your typical pins either, which makes it that much easier to latch onto them.
Pintrill focuses on creating items that are taken out of our daily lives, i.e. emojis, lyrics, and even pins that commemorate funny memes like the Drake Tears one or the one of Kim K crying. Who wouldn't want a "100" pin to stick on like every article of clothing and book bags?! While they are only a year old, this Brooklyn based company is getting a lot of attention not only from big time magazines but also celebrities as well. After perusing their vast catalog of different pins, it's quite easy to see why they are garnering such attention. |
But I think what is one of the coolest things about the company is the fact that they also do collaborations with people to create their own pin pack to sell on their site. If done correctly, they can literally make a killing off of this concept. Before you know it, Pintrill's collections will soon be regarded on the same plateau as holographic Pokemon cards were back in the day. With that being said, get them while you can and keep an eye out on Pintrill for all future releases and updates.
