Okay so I decided to incorporate a popular hashtag into my blog simply because there are a few women I find that deserve recognition and not because of their appearance (even though every one of them is gorgeous) but because of what they are doing and the talents they have. Nowadays we are in world filled with females bringing the next female down and sometimes it's just best to empower each other, which is mostly why I am doing this. Tai McQueen actually inspired this section on my blog simply because I just had to write about her and you'll find out why.
Back in November of last year I found the will to get myself out of the rut I was in. I was nearing 300 lbs and I was miserable. Clothing shopping had become a chore and while I knew the food I was eating was horrible for me, I just didn't have the motivation to change my habits. For a couple years I had juggled back and forth between being health forward and then just eating a bunch of junk. I had even dabbled in being a pescatarian for a summer before going back to binge eating on chicken fingers and turtle cheesecake when I went back to college. (Don't judge me lol) However, after a brief and passionate conversation about quality of food with some coworkers, I decided I wanted to go back to doing fruit and veggie smoothies which my high school art teacher got me into to begin with. Fortunately, during that time I found a book called 10 Day Green Smoothie Cleanse by JJ Smith and I decided to challenge myself.
I completed those ten days and haven't looked back since.
In the midst of this new lifestyle I am now trying to pursue, I came across a woman who had managed to lose a ton of weight. I will admit, I was envious as hell but when I started to dive a little more into her social accounts I found a woman who was amazingly inspirational. Tai McQueen, who is also known at the Plus Sized Trainer, is living a fit lifestyle but instead of being one of those preachy individuals she speaks the truth about the difficulties of losing weight. She's relatable and she showcases that she has flaws just like everyone else but more than anything, she has this ability to make you feel like anything is possible as long as you get your ass up and get moving. She has this determined mindset that is infectious and even though I've only been following her journey for a few months, she has progressed so much. She's running training sessions, traveling around the states to put on health bootcamps, and even now has her own line of health supplements. She is literally the walking personification of dedication and hard work for me and I have learned a lot from just her videos and her SnapChats alone, where she also gives out free tips and tricks of what she does that may help you in your health journey.

Thank you Tai for helping me but also making me realize that a couple pounds gained back isn't an excuse to give up and throw in the towel. It's all apart of the journey and is easily fixed with enough hard work.
If you are interested in health like me please go follow her but I'm letting you know right now just like she tells everyone everyday on SnapChat, that her Snaps are all about "fitness and fuckery". Like I said, she keeps it real ;)
